NFL Legends and active players representing all 32 clubs made selections in Rounds 2 and 3 of this year’s NFL Draft.
Among the NFL Legends that were scheduled to be on-site, nine have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame:
Additionally, four active players – Arizona’s James Conner, Minnesota’s Brian O’Neill, Pittsburgh’s Joey Porter Jr. and Tennessee’s Jeffery Simmons – helped announce their clubs’ day two selections.
Seven day-two announcers attended the University of Pittsburgh, including Dorsett (representing the Dallas Cowboys) – the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and all-purpose yards. Conner (Arizona Cardinals), Covert (Chicago Bears), Andy Lee (San Francisco 49ers), Bill Maas (Kansas City Chiefs), Martin (New York Jets) and O’Neill (Minnesota Vikings) also attended the University.
Sixteen prospects attended this year's NFL Draft. Three colleges – Ohio State (five players), Alabama (two) and Miami (Fla.) (two) – had multiple players on-site. The Big Ten led all conferences with six prospects in attendance, followed by the Southeastern Conference (five), Atlantic Coast Conference (two), Big 12 (two) and Independent (one).
A total of 33 compensatory draft selections in the 2026 NFL Draft were awarded to 15 teams. Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents (CFAs) than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
The compensatory picks were positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost.

Forty-two players were granted special eligibility for the 2026 NFL Draft and 21 underclassmen who fulfilled their degree requirements with college football eligibility remaining were also eligible for selection.
Sixteen players applied for special eligibility prior to the newly instituted early “soft” deadline of Jan. 5, which was added to assist players and all-star game organizers in the planning and invitation process. Twenty-six additional players submitted their petitions prior to the traditional deadline of Jan. 14. This list does not include players who played in the FBS National Championship Game on Jan. 19.
Each of the 42 players listed below have met the League’s three-year eligibility rule and have renounced their college football eligibility by submitting written notification to the League office on or before the Jan. 14 deadline. Consequently, they are eligible for selection.
