Championing diversity and inclusion in football.
The NFL is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment across all levels of the game. Through targeted policies, fellowships, and networking programs, the League provides meaningful pathways for minorities and women to advance in coaching, scouting and front-office roles. Explore our core inclusion initiatives below:
The Rooney Rule ensures that minority and female candidates are interviewed and considered for head coaching, general manager, and senior executive positions across the League.
Designed to increase the number of full-time minority coaches in the NFL, this program gives talented coaches the opportunity to observe, participate and gain invaluable hands-on experience alongside NFL staffs during off-season workout programs and minicamps.

This fellowship introduces former collegiate and professional players to the scouting and player personnel side of the business. The program provides mentorship and hands-on talent evaluation experience to help develop the NFL's next generation of diverse front-office executives.
The Women’s Forum accelerates the pipeline of female talent in football operations. By connecting experienced female sports professionals with NFL owners, head coaches, and general managers, the forum provides vital networking, professional development and hiring opportunities.
The NFL Women’s Community is a dedicated network aimed at supporting, mentoring and advancing women in the sport. It celebrates the growing impact of female leaders and provides resources for women pursuing careers across the football landscape.
